ORDDU: Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, jawnjarvis, duckling. It's truly amazing that all this has been kept such a secret until now. Not even Loomis was aware of this little project and he usually knows everything related to Hong Kong Disneyland.

ORGOCH: Well, that's what he gits fer runnin' 'round with his pants down!

ORWEN: Maybe they're planning to turn one of the buildings on Main Street into a permanent Haunted House!!! Wouldn't that be wonderful?! Main Street SHOULD have a haunted house. It would fit right in with the theme.

Yes, this one took me completely by surprise. You think Disney would be keen to publish info of ANYTHING new in the park, especially in light of the SCMP story. (Just between you and me, I know nothing! I'm a fraud! I don't even know what a Dizkneeland is!)

Of course, the timing is right for a Halloween announcement. Last year's announcement came in the last week of August. I'm actually excited about a seasonal event for a change...

Anyhoo, thanks for the pics, jawnjarvis. You've certainly given us something to talk about in these slow news days.

Maybe they will find a way to make it stay open long term until they build the real Haunted Mansion?
I know I read it somewhere they did that before - turn something temporary into permanent..... I can't think of one right now.....humm.. Like the Lion King Show in Animal Kingdom.

So it does, seems legit.

Does this mean a trial for a Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror (haunted hotel) or just a "scary" attraction in general? Time will tell, can't wait for the press release!

Re: hong kong sparrow and gracey

Just to update, word on the street is that there is construction/something going on NEXT TO Plaza Inn (the Chinese restaurant), which is possibly where the Haunted House/Hotel will be located.

We'll keep looking...

That construction has been there since late July, early August. I thought it was just planting more trees, or maybe another toilet! Isn't this exciting.

Well, it would be unique to HKDL!

I was going to make a log ride joke, but I thought it would be in poor taste.

ORDDU: Now, about those pesky pants of yours, Loomis, duckling--are they still down or back up again?

Re: hong kong sparrow and gracey

just a thought that hit me last night as I was drifting off into neverland...Is there room to the caslte side of Plaza Inn for a haunted house? I seem to remember it being a small sitting out area and a lot of trees.

Well... you probably noticed the construction fence and crane right next to the Plaza Inn restaurant and Adventureland...did you not?

Answering your question, it's no contest between the two of them at all. TDR is the epitome of disney theme park. Great service even with a language barrier. all the cast members are MASTERS of hand signals. it's like a second language for them. Also i enjoyed not only the food choices, but the food portioning. its really just the amount you need which makes me feel better then getting too much food in wdw and wasting. its also nice to have every effect working on splash mountain while not suffocating from swamp water
Now, do you all believe me????

Well, I couldn't wait until tonight so I've contacted Disney. I guess I'm still playing the waiting game. Continue the speculation. It is more fun.

It's a night time announcement? I heard they are introducing yet another new costume character this time. (New to Hong Kong Disneyland) I think it must be one of the villains.

No, I meant tonight when I get home I was going to contact them. I'm several hours ahead/behind most civilised places.
