The Biggest Theme Park in Mainland China to open on 18th October 2007!

The Theme Park is developed by HQ TourCity Investment and Development, and it is situated at WuHu, China.

The English name of the Theme Park is called HQ TourCity(Huaqiang Tour City) or WuHu FantaWild Adventure. For more details, check here at HQ TourCity.

中國最大主題樂園─「蕪湖方特歡樂世界」建設工作已近尾聲，預計本月18日正式營業，全年可接待 300萬人次以上遊客。目前建成園區投資額接近20億元人民幣，全部建成後，總面積預計可達300 萬平方米，成為名副其實的中國版迪士尼樂園 《大公報》報導，方特歡樂世界為目前中國最大的主題公園，也是蕪湖華強旅遊城的核心項目，建成總面積124萬平方米，其中陸地面積52 萬平方米，水面面積72萬平方米，公園劃分為14個主題園區。
根據園方介紹，18日開放的主題園區包括陽光廣場、方特歡樂大道、漁人碼頭、太空世界、神秘河谷、維蘇威火山、所羅門封印、西部傳奇、恐龍半島、海螺灣 、嘟比農莊、兒童王國、方特水世界、火流星等。其中，陽光廣場、方特歡樂大道、漁人碼頭為全開放式區域，遊客可自由出入。
據了解，蕪湖華強旅遊城項目全部建成後，總投資將超過70億元人民幣。公園各種主題項目總和超過50個，其中有國際級大型遊樂項目12個，休閒及景觀項目共200 多個，內容涵蓋現代科技、未來科技、科學幻想、神話傳奇、歷史、文化、綜合表演、兒童遊樂等多方面。
蕪湖南接「兩山一湖」，東達「長三角」地區，對南京、合肥、杭州、上海等長三角中心城市均有較強地緣優勢。目前，從當地通過高速公路，只要1 個半小時便可到達南京與合肥，未來城際鐵路建成後，到上海將只有3小時車程。

1st year target attendance is around 3 million. Tentative opening date is 18th October 2007. They are going to open the theme park by phase. When the whole project is completed, it will occupy about 3 hundred million sq. metres. big enough to be called the Mainland Version of Disneyland.

There are 14 Lands or themed zones. The whole project costs over RMB 7 billion.
Shanghai is one of it target customer base.

HQ TourCity (Wuhu Huaqiang Tour City) will bring kind of novelty new experience. As the biggest theme park under construction inside China, the park comprise the following 14 themed zones: City Walk, Fish Market, Mysterious River Valley, Vesuvius, The Space, Sky Sailor, Kids’ Zone, Solomon’ Seal, Conch Bay, Water Carnival, Mysterious West and Metropolitan Museum of Art, nearly 50 attractions, receiving 3 million people annually.

Lets see, in their tomorrowland rip off I see themes from tomorrowland, Space Mountain, and even the towers that Universal uses outside MIB.

Then there's the mountain from TDS.

So they've done as the Chinese have always done in matters of copyright and stolen many themes directly.

There's also the Mayan/Aztec pyramid from TDS as well. But by looking at the pics, it
doesn't seem that large, I have a hard time believing that it's the largest...

And what's with the crooked house with the overgrown critters?

It'll be really interesting to see what this really looks like.

Considering most theme parks have cool concept art which look nothing like the final park, this one is kind of tame looking. I wonder if these where just photo clip art images that they got somewhere else? A clip-art theme park?

I agree. Color me not impressed. Looks like a bunch of random theming put together, but lacking coherence. And it doesn't even look all that appealing.

Actually, that would be WonderWorks Point Orlando on International Drive. Not the ripley's museum, which is housed in a much smaller tilted building, as opposed to upside down building.

"The Space" area looks like they borrowed odds and ends from the MIB ride at Universal, Space Montain at Disney, and rockets from Kennedy Space Center's rocket garden.

"Vesuvius" looks like Mt. Prometheus from TDS with B&M coaster tracks.

Why are there dinosaurs on top of the upside-down house?

Oh well, it looks interesting...
