My dad and I have just returned from Hong Kong, and HKDL. On our day devoted to HKDL, we got up and got a bus there from our hotel. We got to the park at 11:00 and there weren’t many crowds.
I like this fountain near the entrance, every once in a while it does a little “show” with the water.
The turnstiles and the train station look almost exactly the same as in DL.
As we were walking in, a Cast Member gave us these glasses that would be used at night for looking at the Christmas decorations.
They have the same quote as in DL, except this one is also in Chinese
The castle and one of the five ‘ice sculptures’ in the hub.
I love this Tomorrowland sign
First we headed over to Space Mountain. It was a 15 minute wait, and it stayed that long all day.
Space Mountain is much lighter than DL’s. I could see the track all throughout the ride. But, there were asteroids, mostly near the end of the ride, those were interesting. Also, about halfway through the ride, there is a drop, on this drop, there were circles of light that you go through, that added a lot to that part of the ride. This version of Space Mountain seems much faster, but it has the same track layout as DL’s…..hmmmm…
We walked through Fantasyland and checked out the construction of IASW. This façade could be very cool.
Pooh was closed for most of the morning.
The back of the castle.
This will be continued very soon....
