Today I go to HKDL and don't forget to take the IASW pics for all of you who love HKDL!



The ice-cream shop is painted.

Yes! The clock parade dolls are fixed!

The are not moving but I think they will test them soon!


And we could watch how they move in the nearly future!

According to the guidemap, yes, there is supposed to be a new restroom facility in between the Golden Mickeys Theater and IASW. I have to say I am most interested in the entrance layout of the attraction, with a bridge leading guests into the show building as opposed to boarding outside like in CA and Paris.
Also, yoou must have gone around the train track a few times to have such nice shots from the train. Did you sit in the back car and shot away like I did on my last visit? Hahaha! We are such geeks!!

The fact that all DL parks feature this building design and clock, makes WDW's attempt to imitate it, all the more tragic in execution.

Well Kirbi, the truth is.. many people fail to see how awesomely designed HKDL is in most areas, but instead put the park down for little things like switchback lines (which we have so many of at WDW) or short roster of attractions (like DHS is, or worst WDSP, which was short on rides and theming!).
I can only hope this park will eventually turn out to be a great addition to the Disney resort family.

This new IASW shows even more that we aren't dealing with the same Disney Co. that originally built the park. You can tell they spared no expense in the design of the exterior facade & surrounding gardens. I can't wait to see what the interior is like!


With this opening very soon and HKDL posting double digit growth last quarter, the future is starting to look brighter for this little park, which just a few weeks ago was having doom & gloom spelled out for it. It's nice to see they finally found a marketing plan that seems to work (which is one similar to TDL's and DL's where they have gigantic entertainment-focused celebrations to draw in the crowds).

I was there the day before... but could not see any doll come out from the clock tower!

the path behind the ice-cream kiosk may be the exit of some disney characters who have never shown in HKDL. (as they share the backstage with Fantasy Garden)

I hope they can add a shop there

This looks really great! When I was in HK last fall I didn't go to Disneyland because all my HK friends told me it wasn't worth it. If this ride turns out to be as good as it looks, I will definitely go the next time I am in HK.

I wonder what kind of upturn in attendence this ride might produce?

Listening to today's press conference it will open in "early spring" Now technically I suppose spring starts on 21 March, but wouldn't it be nice if it were ready for Easter holiday? Or maybe just a few trial runs for me would be nice. (Wishful thinking I guess.)
