I'm happy to see the crowds, but is it because the park is packed, or does HKDL have capacity issues thanks to the low amount of attractions. Anyway I hope all guest enjoyed they trip to the park and consider visiting again, or even buying an Annual Passport.
ORDDU: Perhaps some have forgotten about the bad press reports from the past and Hong Kong Disneyland is sort 'starting over'. Or, it could be that some locals simply haven't had a chance to visit the park until now. Either way, it's nice to see that attendance is up.
ORGOCH: 'Course, if'n I'd been in charge over there, I'd a been kinda embarrassed over the lack of things ta do. Sort a like invitin' a bunch a folks over fer dinner an' then runnin' outta food befer ya even got 'round ta servin' the main curse--I mean course!
Last night on the cable news channel, it was reported that only 17 people took advantage of the HK$88 tour from Shenzhen. Judging the apparel and facial features, I would hazzard to guess that there are a lot of non-locals in those photos. (But what do I know-speech is usually what I go by when I'm there, and I can't see anyone actively pushing others) Do these photos mean more people are coming on their own? That would be good news indeed! (But bad for us APers who enjoy a slightly less crowded park)
The day I was there, it was crowded as well as it was just before the Chinese Holiday was about to begin.
But as Malin offered, yes, the park is small and the attraction count is low, but the rides do seems to handle crowding quite well when the park is busy. Even on the day I was there, the max wait time for Space Mountain was 25mins... and that was stand by (they have FP).
There is much more to do now at the park than on day one 2 years ago.
I can only hope the momentum continues...
BTW... is anyone still interested in seeing the pics I took at HKDL a few weeks ago?
I am waiting eagerly to see your pics from HKDL. The preview wasn't enough for me.
