Thumbs up New Hong Kong Disneyland website

The Hong Kong Disneyland website has been completely updated. Unlike the Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney websites, this website is a lot more familiar looking to the Disneyland and Walt Disney World websites. It is put together very nicely. You can take a virtual tour of the lands, even though most of Main Street are pictures from Disneyland's Main Street. A big improvement though, take a look around:

It's nice to see their official website with real pics from the HKDL park but they are still using some shots from the other resorts as well... However, I do like the new look a lot.

The site suffers from the same problem as the resort. Visualy stunning (The Park is Bueatiful) with no substance. Candy Coated.

Well you know they are definately candy coating it when they list City Hall, Liki Tikis, and rafts to Tarzan Island as major attractions. The hotels are beautiful, the surroundings are beautiful, but the park is weak. It's just, empty-yah that's the word. It just doesn't have layers of detail to it like Disneyland or Disneyland Paris have.

City Hall has some sort of awesome cool ride in the back that takes you on a ride in the earliest motor cars, running down pedestrians, small animals, and other things that get in your way!

The website is definately a lot better than it was, but I wasn't impressed with the virtual walkthrough. All of the pictures of Main Street with the exception of one are of Disneyland, U.S.A., and most of the other pictures are too. The virtual tour really highlights the absolute lack of anything to do.

Re: New Hong Kong Disneyland website

Wow, theyre milking those attraction too much. They consider the Castle, Liki Tikis, character meet area, sword in the stone, City Hall and Snow White Grotto as all attractions when really they are just park recreation. They consider certain aspects of Tarzan's Treehouse as three attractions. Tarzan's Treehouse itself is an attraction, not Tarzan Island, nor the rafts to get there. And lastly, the Train is considered two seperate attraction when realy it is only one. Sorry people, its just I feel Disney shouldve done a better job with this, there is too little to do, this is not a 2nd park so it should have as many attractions as the other Magic Kingdoms got. There is only 14 attractions on opening day, three of them being shows, two of them being transportaion and one of them being a Tarzan play area. I just hope people complain about not enough to do so that we can get lots more in the near future.

Looks like there's more to do on the website than there is in the park.

Maybe I'll consider going there in 10 years from now when they may actually have something to do.

its typical disney fashion. open to early, so in 5 years they can say how far they've come with the park. from what i understand though disney doesn't have any competition over there and they won't because of the deal they inked.
