A new land just behide the bridge.Pirateland?Frontierland? who know?

Rumors are they were preparing for a Hunated House for the upcoming Halloween season. Whatever they are doing... I am not expecting much since you can clearly see in those pics... there really isn't much room to do something big.

I was hoping for the rumored Voodoo-themed Haunted Mansion, but there isn't enough space.

It's great to see that they've excavated the bridge; now that huge parcel of land behind the berm is available for any attractions that they actually choose to finance.

I'm sure this closure is much more about the bridge than preparations for Halloween.

Thanks for taking the time to post these pictures.

I still wonder on what they're planning to do with the land though. If we follow the rumors, then it could be a Haunted House attraction, but I'm not quite convinced yet.

Looks like there's lots of land for future expansion...if they'd get down to it.

New rumours from CM who told me on 15 June 2008,there will be 2 big new attractions located behind the bridge.No one know which is but still arguing.

Not that I am correct but a CM told me they are putting is a haunted maze for halloween.

I think it is a very good sign they expanding beyond the railroad track. Sure it will be just a little maze for this Halloween, BUT, it opens up all sorts of possibility for the future. How exciting!!
May be they will start constructing the pirateland after Halloween is over??

ORDDU: Well, they certainly needed to create an underpass beneath the train tracks. Now we know why the Hong Kong Disneyland Rail Road has been closed down since May 15th. (Frankly, my sisters and I don't understand why this wasn't done as the park was being built, since they had to know they would be expanding outside the current lay-out of tracks.)

ORWEN: I'm even wondering why they didn't lay the tracks a lot wider than they did.

ORGOCH: Why? Afraid the park ain't gonna' be wide 'nuff fer yer own fat butt whenever ya decides ta strut yer stuff down the middle a Main Street over there?

(Sounds of slaps and whacks followed by moans and groans....)

Well, The Railway now is halfly closed, as they posted a notice in front of the Main Street Station, Sounds like they have lots more to do with the bridge...

Both rumors are true. A Haunted Maze would be temporary, but HKDL actually does not want to waste that space for a seasonal event only......therefore, it would like to plan the thing opened at 2009 or 2010.
