Ocean Park Aqua City

Given that I don't know of any solid community that follows Ocean Park news (and generally for a good reason, since I pretty much hated it when I visited it again last year).

However, I did catch wind of that their latest expansion, Aqua City, is slated to open this year. What intrigues me is the Grand Aquarium. So if there's a promise of more fishies, I might swing by again just for that. Anyone know if this will push through?

I featured Ocean Park's remodeling progress on Micechat's Weekend Update several weeks ago. I do not know ultimately how Aqua City will turn out but if they pull it off,it will be a spectacular addition to the park. I am also interested in the night time lagoon show that will debut in conjunction with Aqua City.

the aqua city is scheduled to open by the end of 2010... but no formal annoucement of the exact opening date made. i also look forward to tht aquarium.... haha

you may hv a look on how they built the aquarium in the following radio hong kong program (but only have cantonese broadcast....)

I think it cannot be open at the end of 2010. They still not yet move the fish inside, did not test the things in the show on the lake.... etc. However, there is one new attraction called 'Flash' will open in the end of this month, it located right above the Ocean Express station at the highland. It is only a little part of the new area.

I did some digging and found out that currently it's scheduled for an early 2011 opening. There's also a science contest going on for HK schools to design something for the aquarium.
