Rocky Horror Picture Show: A Tribute Sends Universal Studios Hollywood's(SM) All-New 'Halloween Horror Nights' Through 'The Time Warp, Again'

Mini-Musical Tribute To Be Featured At This Year's 'Halloween Horror Nights' Event, Beginning October 2

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Mad scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Rocky Horror and other famous Rocky Horror Picture Show characters will be part of the Halloween Horror Nights line-up at Universal Studios Hollywood(SM) this year as "Rocky Horror Picture Show: A Tribute," is featured as part of the Halloween Horror Nights event which begins a 16-night run on October 2.




Universal Studios Hollywood will present the "Rocky Horror Picture Show: A Tribute" at this year's Halloween Horror Nights event per an agreement between the theme park and Twentieth Century Fox's Licensing & Merchandising Division.


The tribute will bring the musical mayhem of the classic horror spoof to life on-screen and on-stage with live performers singing and dancing in the celebrated, outrageous "Rocky Horror" costumes. The tribute will be interactive, featuring audience participation and guest involvement.


The "Rocky Horror Picture Show" cult phenomenon was created over three decades ago by A Lou Adler - Michael White Production of the Richard O'Brien musical and its momentum as a world-renowned cult phenomenon has never slowed.

The entire Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios Hollywood has been re-designed for 2009. "Halloween Horror Nights" will feature four all-new mazes, a new "Terror Tram" backlot studio experience as well as terrifying new "Scare Zones." New attractions will include a "live" maze experience based on the "Saw" film franchise, per an agreement among Universal Studios Theme Parks, Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures.

we saw this show at HHN Orlando back in 2007 and it was FANTASTIC!

RHPS will always hold a special place in my heart becuase its where dustin and i went on our first date and this abriged version is very faithful to the whole show.

Back in the late 70's, midnight showings of RHPS were the thing we did. Outrageous people, costumes, and music. And that was the audience!
