Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre Offers 3-1/2 Hours of Family Fun with Its Special Engagement of Disney’s ''Enchanted'' from 11/21-1/6

"Disney’s Enchanted Experience" Lets Moviegoers Meet All the Disney Princesses and Visit New Themed Attraction

Quote:
HOLLYWOOD--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre is bringing more than 3-1/2 hours of family fun to moviegoers this holiday season with its special engagement of Walt Disney Pictures’ magical new musical-fantasy, “Enchanted” from November 21st through January 6th, it was announced today by Lylle Breier, senior vice president of worldwide special events for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Immediately following the movie, guests can enjoy a brand new 24,000 square foot attraction called “Disney’s Enchanted Experience,” where they can meet all of the Disney Princesses – Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, and Giselle (the star of “Enchanted” and the newest addition to Disney’s royal family). Among the highlights of the experience, real props sets and costumes from the film (including the Enchanted Ballroom set) will be on display, along with a unique art exhibit that shows how the filmmakers were inspired by classic moments from Disney films. Following the film, guests can also enjoy a rock climbing wall, a bounce house, a video arcade, and competitive games themed to the film (Narissa’s Poison Apple Toss, Central Park Bounce, Bus Stop Boogie, and Nathaniel’s Taxi Race). Kodak photographers will snap pictures (available as free downloads on the internet) that place guests in various scenes from the film. Budding princesses can dress up in Andalasia’s Fashion Dress Shop, and all guests can enter to win an exclusive Vera Wang Evening Gown.

Showtimes are: 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 7:00 pm, 9:40 pm. Tickets for “Disney’s Enchanted Experience,” are available at the El Capitan box office (6838 Hollywood Blvd), online at www.elcapitantickets.com, or by calling 1-800-DISNEY6. Special group rate tickets for parties of 20 or more are available by calling 1-818-845-3110.

Extend your “Enchanted” experience by visiting Disney’s Soda Fountain and Studio Store (located adjacent to the theatre) and treating yourself to “The Enchanted Sundae.” This spellbinding sundae fit for royalty includes a scoop of strawberry ice cream layered with marshmallow topping, a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with strawberry sauce, all crowned with whipped cream, a decorative tiara, and pixie dust!

Commenting on the announcement, Breier said, “El Capitan guests are in for a wonderful holiday treat with this very special engagement of ‘Enchanted’ and the fun-filled “Disney’s Enchanted Experience.” With over 3-1/2 hours of entertainment and activities, this is truly a unique and fantastic experience for families and everyone from age 2 to 92 who loves Disney magic and fantasy. ‘Enchanted’ is the perfect holiday offering and seeing it at the El Capitan Theatre is the most enchanted way to experience this exciting new Disney musical-adventure.”

The real world and the animated world collide in Walt Disney Pictures’ “Enchanted.” Featuring an all-star cast, the film follows the beautiful princess Giselle (AMY ADAMS) as she is banished by an evil queen (SUSAN SARANDON) from her magical, musical animated land and finds herself in the gritty reality of the streets of modern-day Manhattan. Shocked by this strange new environment that doesn’t operate on a “happily ever after” basis, Giselle is now adrift in a chaotic world badly in need of enchantment. But when Giselle begins to fall in love with a charmingly flawed divorce lawyer (PATRICK DEMPSEY) who has come to her aid -- even though she is already promised to a perfect fairy tale prince (JAMES MARSDEN) back home – she has to wonder: can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?

“Enchanted”is directed by Kevin Lima (“Tarzan,” “102 Dalmatians”) from a screenplay written by Bill Kelly (“Blast From the Past”)and will feature original songs from the reunited team of acclaimed composer Alan Menken and lyricist Stephen Schwartz (“Pocahontas,” “Hunchback of Notre Dame”).
