Take it easy on Reflections of Earth-comments please. Insulting that masterpiece really ought to be illegal

Anyway, interesting piece. Thanks

Re: 1/23: Pirates & Princesses

Was Pirate Mickey there for photos?

I loved the Pirate Mickey at the Pirates of the Caribean premier at Disneyland last year and was waiting to see if a Pirate Mickey would show up at WDW.

Thanks for the review. I didn't know this existed. I thought the Princess and Pirates event was a show during normal operating hours.

Re: 1/23: Pirates & Princesses

I just wanted to thank you for the very timely writeup and posting. We're struggling to get out the door right now (only turned the computer on to load some last-minute music onto the iPod) and I was wondering if anyone knew if this event was worth it.

Re: 1/23: Pirates & Princesses

Thank you Kevin! My kids are really looking forward to this party on our trip and I wanted to find out if it was worth it. It sounds like a lot of fun especially when all the kids are dressed up. We've been stocking up on Pirate stuff. It's amazing what you can do with a cheap $1.00 sword and a can of chrome paint.

Wow. Mark me suprised at the optimism in this review because boy, I was expecting critiques that were not here but all due towards this party.

Let me put it this way:
The fireworks are amazing, I agree, easily one of the best in WDW.

And if I can't say something nice, I'm not saying it.
*hint*

I didn't see one out for photos, but he was in the parade. I hadn't seen that costume before, it really is cool.

I still think Not-So-Scary is a better event. A lot of the lighting for P&P was the same as it was for Halloween, Kevin was just excited by his awesome new camera. I also think that the two pounds of good candy made a big difference. A little booty bag of chocolate just didn't do it for me.

Nice review, Kevin. I wish we'd known what this was during our recent trip, I'm sure we would have enjoyed it. I remember seeing signs for it, but I too thought it was something during regular park hours. Maybe next time!

Thanks for the review. Sounds like MK has a winner on it's hands.

Re: 1/23: Pirates & Princesses

A few points.

1) You can enter the park at 4 pm with a wristband for the party
2) This is hardly a winner. Tickets sales have been slower than anticipated. Hardly anyone was there last night.
3) The fireworks are novel.

We will be there during one of the parties. After reading this review, we may just go! Better then the Halloween fireworks? This I've got to see! I love those fireworks!

When I mentioned it's a winner I meant that Kevin gave it a good review. I know nothing about the popularity of the party.

Also, being the time of year it is ... I wouldn't expect alot of people right now.

Re: 1/23: Pirates & Princesses

And, since it seems to be the first year of its run, Mr Yee should expect some "efficiencies" and more D-by-D dirt in the coming years.
