Re: 6/3: Rumor Rundown

I remember something put up at the WDW forum where there was an article with Bob Iger saying that Ratatouille would not be a franchise, and there would be "No Ratatouille attraction." And also, I thought the whole concept of "Pixar Place" was replaced with what opened with TSM, "PIXAR Studios"...

Re: 6/3: Rumor Rundown

Yeah, I think you're right... it probably should say "Pixar Studios" in the update.

Also, a helpful email convinces me to move the Star Tours II rumor into the "definitely happening but not yet announced" section.

Re: 6/3: Rumor Rundown

The plates (both the flying ones and the ones attached to the airplane) are worth 2000.

Also, in the ring toss, while you're shooting at all those aliens, there is a little meter at the bottom that turns from green to red (or is it red to green? I don't remember) if you want to see how far you are to getting the ship to take off. But I wouldn't recommend watching the meter, it would mean not watching where you're aiming the rings!

Re: 6/3: Rumor Rundown

I'll be looking for those things when I ride DCA's version on Monday nite, yay!! Glad it's a fun game (but whether it's more fun than, say, my Wii, remains to be seen. I'm keeping an open mind).

Also, I'm not sure why Kevin refers to the game hints as "easter eggs", since that's not what video game "easter eggs" refers to. If you hit a non-target, and say, John Lasseter's face popped up on the screen, THAT would be an easter egg. What Kevin refers to as Easter Eggs are just regular parts of the game play (albeit, good hints on getting a good score)

Re: 6/3: Rumor Rundown

I also cringed at the use of Easter Eggs. I tend to think of those as hidden toys inside a DVD interface. But the press releases, I think, is where the term was first used, so I just kind of went with it.

Re: 6/3: Rumor Rundown

I'm stuck in the same place you are. Top Score of 235,000, which I did without activating the robot somehow.

For Ham's Egg Toss game, if you hit the mouse on top of the barn, the barn will proceed to flip over. it will have three 2,000 point mice that pop out and aren't easy to hit. Hit all three of them and the barn will flip back to normal, but a lot of the on screen targets will become 1,000 point mice targets instead of the usual ones.

I saw the rainbow effect happen on the screen next to me, but haven't had luck activating the effect myself yet other than the standard 500 point balloon rain. I'll have to give it a shot on Thursday...

The plates easter egg is driving me crazy. I keep trying to shoot at different objects, like all the vehicle plates to see if it changes anything as well as items in the environment without much luck.

The only easter egg I can think of for the Prospector's Mine Cart game is that if you hit all your carts the last two targets become 5,000 point targets. But it's not really changing the game like the others. It's just the regular game.

Re: 6/3: Rumor Rundown

Thanks Kevin...I think though the entry on the Ratatouille Coaster needs to be updated in light of Iger's comments. There will be probably be a wild mouse, just not featuring a rat

Agreed; I didn't catch that one on my read-through this weekend.

Re: 6/3: Rumor Rundown

I saw someone get 295,000. The highest score I've seen under "top score of the month" was in the high 400s.

In Rumors, WDW is considering in turning adventureland in pirates. i think this is a huge mistake. They are also considering replacing swiss family robinson treehouse with pirates treehouse. If they do this, i think they should send it to Disneyland and replace Tarzan treehouse with swiss family robinson treehouse.

You have Fantastic Plastics Works closing listed under both "confirmed" and "unconfirmed" reports.

You also have the following:
Spaceship Earth post-show additions. The Bibbidi-Boppidi boutiques have started offering makeovers to Hanna Montana, the teen starlet. The cost is $110.
For the sake of all that is holy, I hope that's not going into the SSE postshow.

Re: 6/3: Rumor Rundown

Kevin, that list of updates and rumors boggled my mind. I'm glad you're keeping track for the rest of us!

On TSMM, I got 240,00 on my one and only trip so far & I generally suck at video games of any kind. My partner beat me by 4,000 but his accuracy percentage was less than mine. I guess the point here is: shoot fast & furiously.

Cherny, believe me, it's WAY better than it looks on that youtube video. It was a lot more fun than I was expecting.
