Technically, villains never die, they just get defeated in the end and i don't think Disney would want anyone to die in their films.
Well actually they thought that they Killed Malificent, but she came back...so I am pretty sure that all the villians they defeat die....I mean sheesh getting hit over and over again by a big Key would hurt. Plus if they get defeated why would they just run away? Wouldn't they all want revenge and come after Sora again?
err...wait a minute...Little Mermaid III (err, that doesn't exist yet, right?)...some evil minded yet naive sorceri resurrect Ursula from the depths and she becomes more powerful than ever. Hoping to use her power for their own gain, but instead Ursula tricks them and uses them, and becomes a formidable foe on both land and sea. Disaster awaits until Eric and Ariel, with help of King Triton and the undersea kingdom.
Disney characters do die, fact of life. If it makes you feel better here's a bit of a joke handed down from one of my instructors. What do you get when you shoot Bambi's mother? Confetti!!!! Think about it.
I don't think that Disney would give up control over their property like that, if a Disney character were to die it would be on their terms on their films. Of course that's just my opinion I could be wrong.
Why kill off a character who you can bring back in later installments? Even the villains who Sora clearly killed in the first game returned "through the power of darkness," meaning "they were too cool for us to think of new people."
I was floored by the Goofy thing, though. Threw me for a major loop.
