Thanks for posting these. i almost forget how much i loved Knott's. The Bird Cage and Jungle Island stuff really took me back. Even though i live a bike ride away, haven't been to Knott's in over 10 years. Since they went all Magic Mountain on me, i just lost the love.

The history and heritage of Knotts Berry Farm are very foreign topics to me, so I just wanted to reiterate how much I appreciate this thread! This is so informative, and really makes me lament the park I used to remember, with the beautiful reflecting lake that was highlighted by the Church which was displaced by an industrial, steel roller coaster.

Oh, this really takes me back to 1979, when I made my first visit. I remember the Cable Car and Knott's Berry Tales and I remember a go-cart that went down a track located outside the theme park and went down the edge of the parking lot all the way beyond where Ghost Rider is now. That thing was dangerous and I loved every minute of it!

This thread reminds me of Knotts as a kid and how I was petrified of the robbers that would hijack the train! :/ . Awesome memorabilia by the way!
