As always, a fantastic time had at Knott's Haunt and the MC meet 'extras' were awesome. Can't pass up a lights on maze tour, especially for one as good as Delirium is, plus the wardrobe and makeup departments were rather mind boggling for amount of work and performers to be processed in very small areas/timeframe. Cheers to the MC crew for a great meet, and all the staff and monsters at the Farm for their hard work. The weak link this year for me was sadly the new Mine Ride overlay: whole lot of nothing, really, apart from some effective but static props and the oldest trick in the book which was the most effective: the overhead strings in the dark chestnut. Performers were trying, but the whole thing just seemed off and muddled...here's hoping the ride got tweaked and improved over time and is going strong now.
Highlights for me were the Sleepy Hollow Mountain log ride (which I always have loved since it was around), Uncle Bobo's, the ghost town street monsters as always, the Necropolis scarezone designs and performers, and Virus Z. I will miss Doll Factory, but hope they come up with something awesome in replacement: there's some good design and talent in there.
Onwards to photos!
From the Delirium walkthrough:
Inside the makeup area and monsters waiting to get into wardrobe/makeup or go out and scare:
Finally, it was time: monsters on the loose and fog starting to roll in.
Soon enough it was dark, and time to explore mazes and wander the foggy streets...
No more Bear-y Tales or Dinosaurs here....sad
That about wraps it up...thank you all very much for looking, hope you enjoyed, and pleasant screams!
