Knott's Berry Farm 'general' (non-Haunt) photo tribute

Being photos taken from just normal days at Knott's, something I love to do and a nice, refreshing alternative to the crowds and increasingly hectic atmosphere at Disneyland most times. A bit of the historical, quirky, and such, mainly focused on Ghost Town and it's offerings. So enjoy!


Sad-Eyed Joe is still locked up for horse-thievin', but he'll be very glad to talk to you. Why, he might even know your name without asking!


A few Knott's biscuits with boysenberry jam always hit the spot for me.


A very well executed (bad puns ahoy!) and delightfully macabre Pepper's Ghost effect can be glimpsed inside the Undertaker's Office building (near the Birdcage Theater).




A replica of a fireplace and accompanying items Walter Knott saw and was delighted by when visiting George Washington's home at Mount Vernon.

Love the pictures. Now that I have an annual pass I've specifically planned to take a winter weekday off to do exactly what you just did. Can't wait.

Nice job colorizing the food items in the Thanksgiving scene display. It actually dates back before the 70's but has been moved/shifted around.

"beyond the Halloween Haunt" and how grateful I am that Cedar Fair to the time to fix up the Ghost Town area ... thank you for sharing

I get to visit Knott's during the day, but rarely at night. Tonight's trip to the Merry Farm was well worth it for all the Christmas lights around Ghost Town and the great boughs and wreaths in Fiesta Village and Boardwalk. The light show and music in Camp Snoopy was great too. Here's more than a few pics to share:

And by the way, the Calico Mine Ride is getting a rainbow lighting treatment. I don't know if this is something I've been missing out on for a while or an addition to the Christmas overlay throughout the park. It certainly draws the eye with its ever-changing colors.
