video cameras on the roller coasters

I remember they had video cameras on the roller coasters at knotts. Why did they remove them?

I think the only one that had it was Sierra Sidewinder, although I could be wrong about that. If they don't have it on there anymore I couldn't tell you why.

Yeah they had them on Xcellerator and Sierra Sidewinder. After the cable break incident on the former that one was removed. The last time I was on SS it still had it, but I don't think it was functioning.

They disappeared right after the Xcellator accident. They were leased, a PITB, and very a big money maker.

anyways they should have kept all the cameras. the videos looked very cool. They were on Ghost Rider as well.

Knotts didn't release it, I believe it was an employee of the on ride photo company posted on YouTube (in violation of employers policy).

I don't remember ever seeing them on Ghostrider, but as others have said, they just didn't catch on. I also think that with the employee leaking the Xcelerator video that kind of convinced the park not to renew the contract.
