I wonder if the Calico Mine Ride will get a similar treatment somewhere in the near future....?

I love the ride as is but defiantly not against this either...hopefully when they redo the inside they make it with "overlay's" in mind too

Very cool articles, thanks for posting. The log flume and Calico Mine Train ride were always my favorites. I'm glad the flume is getting a little work and the last time I saw Calico it looked pretty bad too. One can hope it is next on the list of rides to get a little attention.

Definitely looking forward to seeing what they do. Hopefully it doesn't stay out of commission for too long, would hate to only be able to catch it during the busy season.

In a perfect world, this news would silence all the people who say Cedar Fair doesn't care about Knott's history, and only wants to ruin theming with epic roller coasters.

    I can dream, can't I?
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

I feel mixed about this but for selfish reasons only. It's absolutely needed and I'm optimistic they'll do this right. The downside is that we just got annual passes and it's my favorite ride, along with the Calico Mine ride. Guess we'll have to wait a few months to ride the LR again.

Re: Knotts to update the Timber Mountain Log Ride!

This is amazing news and is another step in returning our beloved Knott's to it's former glory. They've made some great strides already but this really shows their dedication (IMO).

We weren't going to get passes this year because I'm not sure how many times we'll be down but I think we'll go ahead anyway so we can check out the new log ride when it opens.

I'm very excited but so sad at the timing. We JUST got new passes, and went last week. My son kept wanting to go on the log ride but the line was just too long so I said we'd do it next time.
