Thanks for the good news about the food at Knott's! I love this park!

When I worked at Knotts ('90 - 91, Stagecoach/Circus Wagon Driver), we would get a complete chicken dinner (EXACT same complete dinner served to the guests) at the employee dining area for a whopping $2.50. Drinks were free and a slice of boysenberry or apple pie (a 1/4 of a whole pie) was $0.50! The food then was absolutely incredible and the amount they gave you was usually more than you could eat. You could also go in there an eat (and bring one guest) at any time, no matter if you were working or not. Ate sooo many meals there! Of course this was when Knott's still owned it, so not sure how it is run now. But I was always so appreciative of the food, service, and bargains we were given

^ I wish. Fried Chicken Dinners are a rarity now in the employee cafeteria. As is the boysenberry pie.

We just bought annual passes last month after not having been in the park for years. The chicken dinner is about how we remember it - simple and tasty. They really need to remodel the inside of that restaurant (though I love all the articles and the guestbook pages on the walls in the waiting area).

The fast food we had at Fiesta Village was not good though, sadly Taco Bell is better and that is not really intended to be a compliment to Taco Bell either. Not efficient service too, you could see them moseying leisurely right in front of you.

I'd read about the jams also. Very disappointing Smuckers won't sell the name back. I hope they are still selling the shortbread cookies under the Knott's name. Those always remind me of my grandma.
