![]() | Re: Ever get strange looks because you're a Disney fan? I totally understand how some people just dont get it, Everyone I work with gives me flack because Of my disney obsession, First off they dont get how I can get off of work on friday and drive to disneyland at least once a month, So they mess with me but its all in good fun, Plus they let me off early most times so I dont get there at midnight. But they will never understand, we are the chosen few. |

![]() | Ok, I'm not quite 30 but I'm close to it. And yes, I have recieved numerous raised eyebrows and giggles because of my love of all things Disney. I have tons of Disney camp and Hawaiian shirts that I like to wear around town and the house. But at work is a different story. I work as an aviation refueler at our local airport with a bunch of other blue collar fellas and sometimes they find my love and knowledge of Disney a little frightening. The only thing Disney I have there is in my Wall Locker a few magnets and photos. It is cool though when I have friends that are making trips to Disney Parks they will call me and ask for advice on where to go and what to do. I used to go to Disneyland numerous times when I was in the service and just loved it. And my wife and I used to travel 2 to 3 times a year from hear to California or Florida. We have an extensive Disney dvd, vhs and blu-ray library along with sculptures, artwork and animation books that I have purchased over the years. My friends will bring their children over to my house and they don't want to leave. But it's really neat to be mistaken for a Cast Member at a Park by actual cast members or by other guests with questions. |

![]() | Re: Ever get strange looks because you're a Disney fan? not really, but other than a frame on my desk and a few pictures taken at the parks it's not that obvious. Only one person asked if I like disney. I said yes and she asked if I went a lot. I just said I go when I can I have a pass and she said me too....so yeah, she got it.

![]() | Re: Ever get strange looks because you're a Disney fan? I'm a 25 year old girl. I have lots of disney shirts and one or two purses and even Little Mermaid fleece pants! Yeah, I do get strange looks when I wear them, even in a place like Hot Topic where I get most of it from! Like one person (when seeing my pink Ariel jacket) asked if I was a bit too old to be wearing something like that. I said "No." One sister-in-law thinks i'm weird because of my love of Disney and just to get her back, I sent my nephew a stuffed pooh and tigger when he was born because I knew she would never (and so far has never) bought him anything even Mickey Mouse related. |

![]() | Re: Ever get strange looks because you're a Disney fan? When I wear my Grouchy shirts to the market the checker always smiles. I don't really get my Disney Geek on until I go to the park. Then I pull out the lanyard with pins, the Grouchy hat, the Grouchy sweatshirt, and wear a big smile. Some people look at you, even at Disneyland, and think you're off. But most get into the spirit, laugh, and some ask where I brought the gear. |
