Yah... best to stay away from those who have significant others. If you're loosely dating, that's okay. But if you go out with someone who has a significant other, it can end in one or two ways.. they leave the guy for you, or they have that knee-jerk reaction that they cheated and won't talk to you no matter how great of a time you had.

I guess you can guess what happened to me.

You hit it right there and besides don't you think significant other is used loosely?

Pirates. Peter Pan. Made out on both. Twice on Pirates with two different girls, once on Peter Pan with a band chick from my old school. Good times.

Should a couple have a lot in common, or is “attraction” enough?

Depends on what you want to do I guess. If you just wanna flirt around, then I guess attraction. but if you want a serious relationship, then a lot in common.

I think it all starts with attraction! There has to be something that first draws you in however for it to develop past anything just physical there has to be somethings in common and also in my opinion the willingness to grow and learn for your partner.

I mean significant other as in a solid boyfriend or girlfriend. One that you wouldn't cheat on.

well me and lenard are practically opposites, and it's still working out. i think maybe we're just the few where opposites do attract and all that stuff. so yes attraction seems to be enough, and now it's just like we're each other's best friends who like to get it on

I think oposites attract works well if you have some overlap in the middle and respect each others differences! of course being best friends that like to get it on works well too! (best relationships really)

When my hubby and I got together, I was not attracted to him at all. I think it was more an attraction on his part towards me. When we first started dating, we didn't have that much in common. As we grew into the relationship, yes things became more in common. We are still going through changes in our life. Some good, some I wouldn't say bad, but I've noticed there are revolving interests.

I get you. I don't know what it is about the term *significant other* but it's not passionate words for me if you are in a relationship. I prefer solid boyfriend and girlfriend or husband and wife.
