418 miles, if anyone's listening. I'll be at the MiceAge anniversary in just a couple weeks.
The cycling around Anaheim is not nearly as pleasant as here in NorCal. Our trip will be too brief to warrant bringing a bike and all the gear for just one or two rides, anyway.
PS: now at 459 miles.
I have a friend in the area that loved to ride, but doesn't like the urban riding expirience. Nice to ride to the beach and back, but not century rides.
Anyway I'm shortly off to watch a football game or maybe too if the first one goes well.
We do a lot of riding on the back roads of the gold country, stopping at small town coffee shops and bakeries. We often see deer, wild turkeys, and the occasional bald eagle. While lately we've had some frosty mornings, by mid-morning we are riding in brilliant sunshine.
I will coast downhill up to 40 mph or faster if I have a clear view of the road ahead.
Back from Disneyland, and the car has been in the shop ever since. :( Good thing I can get around on a bike.
I'll put it this way: We didn't let car troubles spoil the vacation. We were able to drive it home, but it's now awaiting a transmission control module to be shipped from snowed in New Jersey. Good thing we won't need it back for a while, since we're leaving for Hawaii next week.
Not great, but your looking at the bright side.
My local sports team just lost their chance to go to the playoffs, giving the chance to the evil empire known as the L.A. LAKERS!! LONG LIVE THE UTAH JAZZ!
(Realizes on a web forum full of potential Lakers fans)
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh... :whistlingI got to go now, bye!
