This just keeps getting worse and worse, now you're talkng about getting something "fixed", that's quite a nigtmare for some male cats!

Sorry about the condom joke, now a fixed joke. I just don't know what's come over me

On my old car, it seemed one the back lights was always out every time I went to get my oil changed (then again it was a 16 year old car... big surprise). But the guys at Jiffy Lube always replaced them for me, even if I had already brought my own instead of buying from them.

Whenever I need my windshield wipers replaced, I get them at Advanced/Discount Auto and sweet talk a guy working there to change them for me. What guy in his right mind wouldn't help a pretty girl? LOL!

Oh come on NNL, why don't you put on some Dice Caps on your air valves? Or maybe some Bullet caps? Maybe some Dollar Sign shaped valve caps to give your car some "Bling"?

Re: the cap on the tire valve?

No, there's something blocking it from getting out... the plastic or something... the mechanics hopefully have better tools than bare hands and very little muscles (though I can climb in the trunk... )

Someone HAS to fix it, for free. It's a manufactuere's defect... isn't that the way it goes? I'll bring GMs' number, just in case

I always get freaked out calling garages and stuff. They're SO intimidating! Esp. my last one... the guys were great, loved the work they did but ugh, I hated calling them.

Climbing in the trunk of a car. >.>; Not something I hope to need to ever try.

<sighs> I agree with dislike calling garages. Of course that means I dislike not having the place to do the basics myself.

You know what I love about this thread, it's about a cap on a tire valve, and yet it continues on and on. It should have its own reality series. Chances are it would last longer than Acting with Celebrites, Bowling for Bagels or whatever odd mix the network execs claim will sell more cel phones.

Re: the cap on the tire valve?

Just wanted to let you guys know that I got it all fixed up, the guys there were SO so nice and not intimidating at all. Turns out there was another recall so I got everything fixed up for FREE! Plus the shuttle driver and I had a nice little adventure and there was an old lady who I SWEAR was straight from the movies! And as a bonus, I got a coupon for a free car wash, which my baby needs BADLY!!!

So, yay. Thanks for your help and now I'll go back to trying to pretend to not be clueless
