Beatles! I love them! I do like some of Elvis's work, but I like more of Beatles work.
But my best friend loves them both about the same. That's probably why he's so wierd... LOL Well in that event, I must like Beatles and Elvis about that same too, b/c i am wierd as well. Oh well... Let's put it this way: I have my favorite songs by both of them, but the majority are by Beatles.

    Neither.

IF I was forced to choose one, I'd choose Beatles over Elvis but would prefer a heaping dose of the Stones or Bowie.

BEATLES!...number one. If all four were alive and kicking today, their music would still be fresh, meaningful, and all over the charts. Not only did the fabs ROCK...they embodied it.

Hope Paul and Ringo bring forth a new group someday, with the sibblings of each Beatle.

Elvis ruled too...big heart that guy.

I think the reason most people prefer one heavily over the other is because they are both legends, but in radically different ways. I mean, Elvis was a quintessential American who drove big Cadillacs, sang with more deep passion and energy than anyone, and lived larger than life. The Beatles were a new type of music from England focused on songwriting and a synergy that ran through the group, and their popularity soared very, very quickly.

Both Elvis and The Beatles represented a kind of rebellion amongst teenagers of their respective times. Although I prefer Elvis, I also have a lot of respect for The Beatles and I love a lot of their songs. I guess I prefer Elvis because besides his music, he was such a generous person who never forgot where he came from and he was such a caring person that people really hurt him later in life with harsh criticism. He was such a straight arrow, which is rare in rock 'n' roll or fame in general, he could've done so much more if he were alive. His legendary generousity actually had limits though, I've heard that he'd let anyone drive any one of his cars, but not his Cadillac. His Cadillac was HIS car.

I am against the grain on this one (no surprise to me), but I am an Elvis fan. I think it started because of my mother who loved Elvis, but not in that travel-to-Graceland-and-steal-some-dirt way. When I was 12, she got one of his first #1 albums on CD. I borrowed it from here and I fell in love with Suspicious Minds, I was even more impressed by how progressive how the song sounded given the year it was released.

Lilo and Stitch just cemented my Elvis admiration more.

And much to my surprise, after getting Sirius this past weekend, I love channel #13, All Elvis!!
