Pssst, wanna meet me behind the bushes before the noon meet on Sunday, August 3rd?

You know, behind the bushes where the picnic area is located?

My family and I are going to be in Anaheim that weekend to celebrate my hubby's (Westley's/Ken's) birthday and I'm planning to bring a bunch of treats for everyone that Sunday in his honor. I don't wanna have to bother with hitting people up to help me get the treats past security and into the park so I thought it might be easier to just have them at the picnic area and then head over to the noon meet right afterward.

I hear it's also Matt Hamand's and Goofy Guy's birthday around that weekend. Is anyone else having a birthday within a week before or a week after that date? If so, let me know and I'll put your name and a candle on one of the treats too!

I should be there! Although he won't be with me, DIP Jr's birthday is on the 5th. 10 years old -- how time flies!

WTH does that mean, "with bells on"? Where am I supposed to hang bells? Why would I want people to be able to hear me coming?

We'll sure try. BTW, IIRC, the picnic area is after the security check so you'll still have to go through it.

Edit: Oops forgot we were flying out to Vegas that day. I guess we won't make it after all.

Thanks for that info. I was trying to remember if that's the case from both directions into the park. I know it is from the side we're entering , but I was hoping that if we say "We're going straight to the picnic area from here" the CM's would be fine with that.

Sorry you and Mary Read can't make it. We'll miss you! Have fun in Vegas!

Just tell 'em that you are going to the picnic area and they will escort you over there. It's easier to accomplish this from the DTD side, but they can call a "runner" to escort you from the Harbor Blvd. side.

I found this out the hard way when I tried to bring in wrapped gifts for Monorail Man's birthday.

ACTUALLY the picnic area is before the security tents from the DTD way. Coming from Harbor, you'll have to pass all the way though security to the other side.

I can confirm this since a few weeks ago we brought in the bucket of Knott's chicken and did not have to go through security first to eat it.

Although I guess if we had brought KFC it would have been required

to go through security, right Mousercise?
