Will any effort be made to have everyone stay in the same area/wing of the hotel?

Regardless, Coronado Springs looks like a wonderful place to spend a week. I'm thinking of arriving on the 16th (via red eye) and leaving on the 23rd.

United.com is showing a RT fare from SNA (John Wayne) to MCO (Orlando), 10/15 departure to 10/22 return, right now for $280.00, all in. That's cheap. Be advised though, these fares change fast and it won't last long!

Things are looking up for joining the WDW Invasion this year.

Originally, I didn't have enough vacation time left to even think about visiting WDW this year. Two weeks were already used and I was saving my remaining time off to visit mom for Christmas. But my boss and I were talking casually about our trips so far and I mentioned that I wanted to go to WDW but didn't have enough time remaining. Without blinking, she told me that I could have up to three more vacation days (unpaid) if I wanted. Ok, that was really cool of her to offer it. So now I'm looking into potential travel dates, airfare and lodging costs. Hopefully everything works out. It sounds like a lot of fun!

Ok, myself and my friend are in!!! Woohoo! Just found out it is approved. Now I just need to see if we can still get the reservations through Magical Travel. We normally do a red eye into Orlando from LAX, but we might consider coming up in the morning of the 15th instead and we will for sure be going home on the 20th.

We will be in for all the major events and are really excited/nervous for Gumball Rally! Looking forward to some downtime by the pool also.

Anyone else thinking of doing the Mickey's Not So Scary Haloween Party? We loved it in the past and might go on the 16th or 19th.

So excited! It is less than 2 months away!

Just remember the 19th is the Illuminations Dessert Party. If you book through Magical Travel, then the tickets to that event are included, so you might want to stick to the 16th for the Halloween Party.

We can't wait either. We're SO looking forward to seeing everyone and REALLY excited about the Gumball Rally!

Will there be merchandise available in the Micechat store for this event. I was just taking a look and most of the items seemed to be specific to previous events. I'd be pretty happy with a nonspecific Gumball Rally shirt that could be worn for multiple events personally, but the ones currently available seemed to rather boldly state that they were for the event that took place during the 3 year at DL.

GumBall Rally = Yes, I will Rally! I want a Rally T-Shirt!!!
Sip and Nibble = Yes, I will Sip n' Nibble ! I am over 21 so there Will be Sipping!!!
Desert Party = Yes I will oooh and Ahh at the Fireworks/Illuminations while enjoying Desert!
Mice Chat Invasion = Yes, I will Invade the House of Mouse staying ON property. (Reservation made @ Disney's Yacht Club, but if enough Mice Chatters convince me I transfer over to Coronado Springs

I reserved a room over at the Disney's Yacht CLub, thinking it would easier to stumble "home" via the EPCOT Centre* International GateWay after sipping and nibbling around the world. So anyone care to chime in on exactly the advantage of staying at Coronado? What do you guys/gals/Mice Chatters typically do for fun after a long day @ the parks, if staying at the same hotel. Considering all the "pleasure" <Dance Clubs, Adventurer's Club> will be closed @ "Pleasure Island**" the end of Sept.'08? Is there a specific Group/ Booking code that would group all Mice Chatters together on the same floor?

Deposit paid! We will be at Coronado Springs from the 15th through the 20th and attending all of the major MiceChat events, also hoping to go to the Halloween party on the 16th.

Now comes my favorite part. Where to eat . . . . .

Can't say it's on my must-do list, but would consider it. The only two appropriate dates would be Oct 16 & 21, both near the start/end points of the trip for many.

During previous trips, there were no scheduled events at the hotel. All of the scheduled events were during the day in a designated park. I'm sure all of the information for this trip will be posted shortly.

As far as staying at the designated hotel, it was just fun to get up in the morning and meet the fellow MiceChatters in the hallway on the way to get coffee or board the bus together in the morning. Also there were some impromptu trips in the evening as people came together after a day in the parks and decided to go out. I enjoyed the dynamic of having everyone together in the mornings and the evenings.

There were quite a few MiceChatters that stayed on property in other hotels or in off-property hotels, not to mention the locals, and I don't think they felt "left out". As a matter of fact, MickeyMaxx and I have received an offer that was too good to refuse and we will be staying off property this time around. I don't think we will have any less fun as a result.
