Santa Barbara, CA Fans

Hi Everyone,

It's great being a part of this larger MiceChat community. It would be even greater however, to be able to easily find local fans, as well. Since it does not look like D23 will connect us, I'll give our forums a try! With the loss of our Disney Store, Disney Outlet, and pretty much all merchandise related to the Mouse in chain stores, we are cut off from Disney. Surprisingly, Disneyland is hard for most of us to visit, who are simply surviving in this most expensive area. I am a lifelong Santa Barbara resident with a love of unique and obscure Disney endeavors. Let's band together to ask Disney to reach our potential market. If there are other fans out there, I'd love to find out who is residing in the Santa Barbara area. Kindly reply to this post, and we'll get connected!

That's a great idea Gplitz. It worked for the Pacific Northwest MiceChatters and the Arizona MiceChatters. You might need to bump this up a few times to start finding them all, but stick with it.

Just a hint - the NW Micechatters really got going by posting stuff in the Main Lounge. We have an incredible member of our group - Melonballer - who took a lot of time noticing peoples "Location" in their user info that got the list started.

A lot of people don't look in here unless they are going to DL and want to see if anyone else is going on the same weekend. When we put a meet thread in here for the NW MC group, we also post about it in the related thread in the main lounge.

I live about 20 minutes south, and am in Santa Barbara several times a week.

You'll find there are several of us in the greater Ventura-Santa Barbara county area.

At least a few years back there was a Disney store in the Pacific View Mall in Ventura. Think it is long since gone, but I could be wrong since I don't go in there much.

I'm pretty sure it's still there... at least it was when I last visited about two months ago.

Hiya Barry, I'm actually in Carpinteria, so we may be right around the corner from each other! I noticed from a previous postings that you are primarily a Disney theme park fan, and I think we are similar in that mindset. Hey, let's keep in touch, and it's good to know that I'm not floating in space here all alone in the Santa Barbara Bubble.
