One day I will get to a MiceChat Anniversary celebration. Sadly, it won't be this year. I had really planned to attend this year, and then I decided to remodel my attic. I have a wonderful 16 year old grandson who I adore, and the attic remodel will allow him and his mom to live close to us. In today's economy that goal must have priority over my wish to be at Disneyland for MiceChat's 5th Anniversary Party.

I will be watching the announcements about this event, and I definitely share the excitement that you all feel about being there. MiceChat is a wonderful place. I was at Disneyland about a year ago, and I'm not quite sure when I will get back. I do know that a trip to Disneyland would not be complete, if it didn't include a MiceChat Meet. They are truly special to me.

Quite a few actually. I've been to every anniversary meet and will be there for the majority of this one.

This is a sample of what we had lined up for Saturday last year! Sunday follows the same kind of format... several meets throughout the day... you can spend some time to yourself, attend which ever meets you want or all of them!

Noon Meet - Mickey Fountain in front of Monster's Inc. in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot. We'll greet each other and chat for half an hour.

3pm - Blue Sky Cellar - Let's see what's new and what's on the way to DCA

4pm - MiceChat goes Hollywood - Meet in the interior lobby of the Animation Building in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot. We'll assemble watch the loop one time through and then head to Monster's Inc and Muppets. If we have time and the line isn't too long, we'll ride Tower of terror as well.

6:30 - Meet in front of Tough to be a Bug - We'll watch the movie and get attacked by Black Widow Spiders! Then we'll head off into the night to ride whatever we feel like.

Special Event 6:30 - MiceChat Wine Reception (Special Ticket Event)at the Golden Vine Winery lower patio - 6:30 pm until closing. Enjoy Wine, cheese, fruit, vegetables and the company of your fellow MiceChatters in a private reception at DCA. Magic under the stars. Limited to 40 people - Ticket required - $38 per person - 21 and older please

9pm until ??? - Lost Bar - A MiceChat tradition - but let's not get ourselves thrown out - Please

I plan on being there, it always seems like something grabs my time during the important meets. This is one not to be missed, especially first timers.

Barry, there's a point where you either come or don't come. We've discussed this before but requesting sympathy accomplishes nothing. There are many long time members of MiceChat that really make the effort to attend the Anniversary Meets. I was really looking forward to the opportunity to meet many of them. Even if just for a hand shake or a hug.

I really appreciate all the pictures, and trip reports that are posted during, and after these meets. It's the next best thing to being there.
