A Colorado Meet? Should we try again

Well, I survived my first meet a few weeks ago!

Who am I kidding? It was AWESOME!

And it got my head swimming. Many moons ago, Nefpy, Nephy....one of the members here did try to get a meet going, but conflicts caused by schedules and distances got in the way.

Maybe we should try again?

I'm thinking:

*) We should aim for the week of Thanksgiving. A higher percentage of us might have days available. The drawback? if we meet in a public space, Holiday shopping is going to be in full swing!

*) Since we're so spread out over the state, I'm thinking Denver might be the place to go.

*) I was thinking, for I did once before with some colleagues, was meeting some place like the Tattered Cover in downtown. There's a bevy of restaurants and shops--so if you need to branch out, that's not at issue.

*) Maybe a mid day kinda thing? So if anyone's coming a distance, they'll have time to return?

*) And if the meet is successful, then we can start planning on 'events.' We don't have many (if any) Disney stores around here any more. But we've got museums and whatnot. Again, I'm just Blue Sky imagineering here.

Of course, I'm totally open. Let's discuss!

And hopefully, I can get Nephythys (maybe?) name spelled correctly!

I don't think I could do Thanksgiving but I would certainly try for an event type meet at some point. It's still quite a distance for me, but the drive would be fun.

I would come to Colorado for a Micechat ski/snowboard day. I know my hubby would too!

And Roo, I know that you and Tigs made such a good impression on everyone that several other Micehatters would probably consider it too!
