Nov. 18, 2007 - Walt's Barn

I know most of you attend the Sunday meet in the park, but I think it would be a great little change of pace to go check out Walt's Barn - which is only open one Sunday a month. So, a few of us are getting together on the 18th to take a tour of the "birthplace of imagineering".

We will be meeting at 10am outside of Walt's Barn. If you need directions go to the link here:

Afterwards we might fit in a ride on the carousel and a peek through Travel Town. Finally we will end the day with a late lunch/early dinner at Twohey's in Alhambra.

There is a Twohey's in Alhambra? The only one I know of is in San Marino.

Anyway, yes I will be there. It will be different from a usual Sunday meet. But refreshing to see where it all started!

Well it borders the two cities ... and everywhere I looked it says Alhambra. You know which one it is silly!

I asked my mom last night. She says it's Alhambra. The last time I ate there was when I was a kid -- I didn't know too much back then. I still don't know too much now!

I used to drive by Twohey's every day to and from work! It's in Alhambra!

To throw everyone off. I went to a boarding school across the street, San Marino Hall. It really set in South Pasadena. A boarding school for boys was diagonally across the street and sat in San Marino. Twohey's sits in Alhambra.

Must be the most confusing corner in California.

Anyone up to carpooling from DL?

Hi Liz,

Count a family of 4 to go to Walt's Barn and Towhey's for now. If the weather says at 50% chance of rain all day that day, we won't be going. So I hope it will be beautiful weather.
