WDW MC Meet - Jan. 6th, 2008 - Hollywood Studios - 11am

at one point in time it was discussed that the meet section be broken into WDW and DL, or some sort of tag be put on them so you know which ones are for florida and what is for Ca.

Well... I was happy to have been able to make it to the meet. As always.. it was fun seeing everyone again. Thanks Rixter and Mickeymaxx for the magnet, Denise for the fudge and goodies, Summer in FL for the lovely pin, and Bill for taking the time to administer a fun quiz about the Studios.. Big Piglet Fan... you are always a joy. Nice seeing you and mom as well. G-Fan and I had a great time, albeit too short for us since we had to split to take care of the parents.

We just got back from a great day at the park. It was so nice to spend the day with the East Coast MiceChatters. We met new friends including Tom Corliss from WDW News Today (really nice guy). We gave out almost all of the magnets including a few to really nice CMs. I also had a change of heart regarding the Backlot Tour - I would now rate it "so-so" (an upgrade from "do-not-waste-your-time-on-this-poor-excuse-for-a-ride").

Thanks again to Summer for providing the quiz and Bill for providing the answers, thanks to BigPigletFan for my pin (last of the old Studio logo pins), to nbdyhome for the incredible baked goodies, to PhotoMatt for great companionship to the bitter end, jimmybop for tips on the Osborne Lights, TDLFAN for the surprise visit, cyre for her WDW insights and everyone else who helped make it such a great day.

Well now I am going to go lay on the couch and digest my Earl of Sandwich sandwich (the Hawaiian one with chicken, ham and pineapple) and bask in the glow of another special MiceChat day.

I had such a great time today, it was so fun doing "retro" MGM Studios today with everyone. Everyone contributed something to the meet today that made it extra special, whether it was Nbodyhome's fudge, Bill's neverending knowledge or TDLFan's surprise visits (stalker) we all had a wonderful time.

It was great seeing old friends and making new ones ( Hello Tom and Matt!)

Trip report will be up tomorrow! Time to get some sleep!

This is something that's been discussed multiple times here on MC (not since you've been around though I don't think). Personally, I feel that there are too many subsections on the site now and things are missed or difficult to find. I thnk the concensus when the seperate meet section was added though is that the meet threads were getting lost in in the park sections and people were missing them that way. I'm not sure what the ultimate solution is. It just seems that any way it's done some people aren't going to be happy. I've just kind of adopted a go with the flow attitude about it all myself.

And a colorful sticky at the top of the WDW section - something in bold, that I'd notice.

The funniest thing that got moved was when Eric mentioned me bringing baked goods. Then it got moved to the lounge, where almost noone would know who I am or care.

Well, the sticky's being ignored has always been a big thing. Most people don't read them.

Glad you all had a great time yesterday. We missed out on the WDW fun again.

Can't wait to see pictures and full reports!!!
