Let's fight Cancer, Relay for Life - June 21-22nd

Relay for life, is a fun filled overnight experience designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer. People gather to celebrate survivors, remember those that lost to cancer, and to fight back against the disease.

Teams of people take turns each hour walking laps. The event continues overnight to represent the fact that cancer never sleeps. Through the survivors lap and the luminaria ceremony we honor the people who have faced cancer first hand and remember those who lost the fight.
This event will take place June 21-22nd in Pico Rivera, CA. at El Rancho High School. Team Registration has been taken care of by own Mr. Dustysage himself. Thanks Dusty ! I have named our Team Walt's Warriors in honor of our own little community of cancer survivors and to those who lost someone with cancer.

for the survivor lap, which takes place in the morning, all you have to do is sign a survivors form, which i have for you. I need to meet with you to give this form to you, then I take it back to the Chairperson. That's it.
So just let me know when you'll be at DL so I can meet with you.

I know during the week is difficult, but Tuesday April 8th I will be at the park. If anyone is interested in talking to me about this event, I will be there. You can PM me so we exchange info. I will also make it on April 13th on a sunday.

Saturday May 31, a Menudo Breakfast for Survivors.
It will be $3.50
and there will be different menudo vendors, and the Survivors vote on who's is the best!
this will be from 7:30am-11:30am at El Rancho High School's Cafeteria

Last week we had a bowling event in Montebello. All to raise money for cancer. It was a lot of fun!
I just got word, that we raised $1,400
way more than I expected. 0.

Next, tomorrow from 6-8pm in pico rivera, Shakey's! proceeds will go to our Relay! If you are interested, please send me a PM and i will give you all the details

awww, thanks DD. Yup survivors lap first thing in the morning. Too bad you cant stay. They want survivors for, just before the luminarias ceremony to talk about their stories with cancer.

Menudo Anyone?

If you are a Cancer Survivor or if you know a Cancer
Survivor then invite them to vote on which restaurant
in Pico Rivera has the "Best Menudo" contest. All
happening on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at El Rancho High
School Cafeteria from 7:30am-11:30am. Survivors eat
for free if you mention this e-mail and all others is
a $3.50 donation.

Proceeds generated from this fundraiser will benefit
the American Cancer Society.
