Hmm so I guess this goes here.? but I think all you MiceChatters will enjoy this if your at the park this weekend and have some extra cash to give to Disney Hoefully some are going are can get some pics of what was for sale and how much they were.

The "Dream Sale" will be an open air shopping experience where you will discover Disney treasures at affordable prices. Each item was used or designed for use throughout the Disneyland® Resort. You never know what you might uncover. Items include commemorative signs, decorative banners, 50th anniversary plaques, theme park props, memorabilia and rare Disney finds. So come and find items that you never dreamed you would have the opportunity to purchase

I was just wondering if anyone was going to the live auction this Thursday evening which is the main part of the Dream, Imagine, Create - The Art of Disney Parks Event happening through the weekend. The auction is taking place at The Grand Californian. There is a "Dream Sale" happening Friday-Saturday (open to the public at 1:30p Friday), and an Art Festival on Saturday & Sunday in Downtown Disney.

I registered for the "Portrait" package, which is the first tier without hotel accommodations. There is a cocktail reception before the auction in the courtyard of the GC (which is included in my ticket, so I will be there). Any other MC'ers attending the auction or any other part of this event?

For those that have never been, these live auctions that are put on by Walt Disney Event Services are really a blast. I have been to several at previous events (WDW Happy Haunts Ball, DLR Fifty Years of Magical Memories, WDW Adventure on the Seven Seas among others) and even without bidding, they are a lot of fun to watch. I highly recommend them for sheer entertainment value. Of course the problem is I usually end up bidding too!

Does anyone know what exactly is going to be for sale on Friday?
It looks to me as if it's mostly expensive limited edition art. Anything else?

They have some Amazing!!!!! stuff for sale as well as a few of the 50 Hidden 50's, crowns, People mover car, a golden tinker bell and much more!

They were a bit vague as to what is going to be on sale at the Dream Sale... However, here's Disney's list from the event page...

I snooped around the rest of the event page, and looked at the Live and Silent Auction pages... looks like auctions - which are NOT open to the public, but only to paid event attendees - will be getting a lot of the good stuff. Hopefully, though, they're saving some good stuff, at decent prices (yeah right! ) for the public sale.

But to Rob F - the Dream Sale is open to the public. It is part of the Dream, Imagine, Create - The Art of Disney Parks event which is also having Live and Silent auctions - however, the auctions are NOT open to the public. You have to have bought a special event package to attend the auctions and other events.

Yes... it is an official merchandise event produced by Walt Disney Event Services. There is now a forum for Merchandise Events. I also started a thread in the "Meets and Events" forum if you want to a thread to post about any meet-ups with other Micechatters over the weekend.

I am SO jealous of anyone who is making it to the sale. I'd love ANYTHING from there!!! I am flying in to So.Cal. on Wed. night...wouldn't you know? I am 5 days late! Grrrr!
