I know that it's the day her autobiography comes out, but I don't know about any signing. Sounds plausable though.

She did have throat surgery a few years back that kinda ruined her voice.

omg...i just can't believe it, it's like my one chance and there is no way to get there.....

I think i'm gonna cry, seriously...

how do you get to go to this? isit invitation only or cattle call? days admission of corse and what time do you normally have to show up for these things?

It probably did ruin her singing voice/range, but not so much her regular speaking voice. I met her for the third time just last month:

Met Dame Julie Andrews Tonight

...and her normal speaking voice was just fine and you couldn't tell she had throat surgery or problems from that.

My mom saw Julie Andrews doing her grocery shopping at the Pavillions here in Newport Beach. It was really cool. She must have a summer home in the harbor or something.

Opus1guy, I completely missed that thread. What an awesome thing to happen! I adore Julie Andrews and hope I get the opportunity to meet her some day.

It would sure be great to see her at the sign-ing.

Julie Andrews has sung since her surgery. I believe her first time singing was in the Princess Diaries 2. It wasn't a huge song or anything, but it was at least something.

SO! You know how i was bummed?

well bummed i be no longer!

I have a group that all wants to go! there are 5 of us total and now we are jus waiting for the time and place to be announced. This is like the others signings as well where you wait in line correct? i know how upset we'd all be if we drove 5 hours to be told you have to have a special ticket.

I don't think anything has been announced on how to be there, as of yet.

But I'd totally wait 5 hours for Julie Andrews. That's why the Nintendo DS was invented.

I was just reading backstagepass and there is a thing saying that julie andrews will be at DL on April 8th signing her new book.
dose anyone know any more about this?
