Peter Pan 55th Anniverasry Product Release Event!

http://psc.disney.go.com/eventservic...55signing.html

Is anyone going to this event?
This Sat the 23rd.
They're releasing lots of products - pins, watches, art, dolls, etc!
There are actually 3 events at once - a pin release, a watch release and the art stuff. All have artists signing their pieces.

As a Peter Pan fan, I'm excited
yoyoflamingo and I will be at the pin one (since the art is so pricey - though I do like every piece! )
Anyone else?

Thanks for the links. Only the larger pin looks good.
Not really fond of the watch or the other prints,
so I'm passing.

I am not a pin person but we will be there Saturday morning. Maybe we will walk by and say Hi or not.

Do you think they will have event shirts for this, like they did for Snow White's 70th???

I would like to know

I picked up a couple of the postcards for the event - I think I'm just going to frame one of those!

1pink2blue, I don't think there were t-shiirts for this one.

My wonderful and patient fiance and I went to the pin one - other than the annoying family in front of us (who thought they could get all 8 plus pins signed, along with a few of them line cutting and all) this was a good event. The CMs were super nice and helpful, and Alex was really nice too. Plus the pins are really pretty!! I'm going to create my own display for them This was my first pin event, and I thought it went smoothly.

That was my friend's experience too. That the pin people were HORRIBLE and rude. And, cutting in line, etc. She stood in line and watched several of them get signed pins, and then cut in line again. So, she ended up not getting a signed one. She got me the print, signed, which I think is really cute!

Re: Peter Pan 55th Anniverasry Product Release Event!

That is too bad, I heart!
One issue we had was that the CMs were going through the line giving wristbands to those who didn't have them - SO you didn't have to stand in line outside the park, just in line at the LMGM store and you could STILL get a wristband. I don't agree w/that. I'm glad we got all the pins I wanted (and again I thanks my fiance for helping me w/this - I owe him for that!!!) but I feel bad for the people who didn't get tr big pin/framed set due to the greediness of others.

OH the CM sid they could get back in line again to get 2 more signed - but she was VERY strict about the 2 per pron thing - and Jeff and I both told her that we were glad she was enforcing the rules! She was super sweet. I'm bummed I don't remember her name!

Well, I felt so bad that she got MY piece signed (the print) and not her own pin that I went on Ebay and paid 2 times the cost of the Tink pin, to have sent to her as a gift for standing in line to get my print signed.

Hmm... just saw this for the first time.

I'm rather impressed with the items that Amanda Visell did. The work in this is very reminiscent of Mary Blair and a few other classic Disney artists. I'm starting to become a fan now that I've seen her website. Reminds me especially of the more conceptual animation done in the 50s -- Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom, Pigs is Pigs, and the Disneyland/Wonderful World of Color animations, for example.

Great. Now I've got somebody in a tie with Shag.

Re: Peter Pan 55th Anniverasry Product Release Event!

We walked by this event and took pictures of the line. We were actually looking for an engaged couple in love. Since we are early birds we saw a nice couple that had been behind us in the line to enter the park and they were second in the pin line. After going on a few rides, we walked back over and saw the "YoYoLands" so I could collect my birthday hug.

I think it's really cute too, and, I agree that it's Mary Blair-ish in style. But, Shag will be my all time favorite behind Mary Blair. I am thrilled to have the Amanda Visell print with an autograph. If she's the next Mary Blair...someday I may be rich!
