Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room 45th Anniversary Product Release & Signing

Disneyland will be celebrating the Tiki Room's 45th Birthday
with a variety of new merchandise and prints.

On Sunday June 22, 2008, the Disneyanna Shop on Main Street
will be hosting an artist signing.

Several items are not pictured yet, and unfortunately
SHAG does not appear to be involved, as he was for
the Tiki Rooms 40th, but there are still a few interesting
items pictured already!

I for one am not happy with this event. Come on Disney! How much money do you think I have! All this stuff looks awesome! I am going to go broke but at least I will have a lot of cool Tiki Room stuff. Can't wait to see more pictures. At least they are giving us a lot of warning to start saving up.

This event looks like it will be something. Disney has gotten this event down. I think the event actually serves the Tiki Room well and is actually getting some well deserved attention.
Unfortunately I can't go to the event so I am sending my "henchmen"(my parents!!) to go line up and get me the merchandise. I know I am bad but I can't miss out on some of this, especially not the pins which haven't been featured in their entirety(sp?) yet. Can't wait to see the rest of the merchandise when images are put up.

It goes without saying that I am so there!!! I will kill for that Avanzino shadow box if I don't get it ... just watch me if I don't.

I'm already booking a room near by to start roaming the park at 1am, Disney security be damned!!! Look for the crazy lady in the tiki room dress ... LOL!

There is another thread in here about Dave's Tiki Room shadow box with the link to the picture of this new and awesome box. Dave himself even just posted in that thread and stated which attraction would be his next project. AWESOME.

Good thing I have dear friends in So. Cal. who if bribed...will go and get me some of this stuff! I'd LOVE to have the shadowbox signed, but, I'd love to just have one...period !!! I want mugs and glasses, etc. too!!! I miss the old Shag stuff, I do admit, but, some of the Amanda Visell prints are cool. I got her Peter Pan one, autographed, and it's darling!

Disneyland is only calling this a product release and signing,
NOT an event. There is no special show, nor panel discussion,
they are just selling special merchandise based on the Tiki Room.

It really is too bad that they aren't doing this as an event,
I'm wondering if they are giving up those up?????

Thanks for the post and links. I, for one, am excited to see new Tiki merchandise...even if it's not quite along the lines of what I would want. The Tiki Room is probably about my favorite attraction in all the park (I can't go without leaving with a smile on my face) and I'm happy to see it get attention.

I saw a picture of the tiki fountain done by Kevin Kidney today, and it looks amazing, but I live nowhere near California. Does anyone know if they provide a way of ordering these through deliverears or any other suggestions?

Just curious... is this a merchandise event like previous years where you have to order a bunch of stuff in advance? Or pay a hefty price just to go?

Do you just show up on the date and time and buy whatever it is you want.
