Oh yes, definitely. Or more, if the entries are voluminous enough. [Gump] and that's all I have to say about that [/Gump]... at least for now.

Re: 7/22: Once Upon a Time

I spent a few days at Cinestory's writer retreat in Idyllwild late in June. I got to work with Barri Miles, a Hollywood development exec, on my script, "The Ugly Dorkling", and happened to mention another story, on Disneyland, that I was brainstorming. She hated the idea, saying Disney would sue me, et. al. I'm convinced this fear of Disney makes it fertile ground. I won't participate in your contest, but I do like the idea. I will share the most important thing in any story, theme. What is the writer trying to say? Whatever it is, type it in big, bold letters, and tape it to your computer. This may help you. Good luck with your endeavors.

Re: 7/22: Once Upon a Time

Disney probably will sue (well, maybe send "cease and desist") if the story or stories published are inappropriate for the Disney audience, or paints Disney in any brush that is unflattering. Since I know this, I plan to only publish stories that won't annoy Disney (which may well mean that Disneyland as a setting is a real backgrounded element of the fiction, not the star).

After thinking that through, I've decided I better put *some* kind of cap in place there. Let's say three entries.

(I'll put up a more detailed set of rules in next week's update that will unite all of this)

On a completely unrelated topic, every time I see this in my subscribed threads all I can think of is the beginning of Sondheim's Into the Woods which opens with the words "Once upon a time" ...and which makes me start singing.

    Hahahahahahahah.

I wish. More than life I wish.

    Aww sweet memories.
I worked at Walt Disney World as a member of the Disney College Program in Spring 2008 and Summer 2010. Now, I build software, design live events, and frequently make the short trek from Costa Mesa to Disneyland with my Annual Passport in hand.

I was wondering recently--who won this terrific event? I didn't hear much and was just curious if the selections were still being judged!

    Peace out,
