Great stuff in Parts I and II, Steve -- can't wait for III! Well done!
"With the acquisition of Marvel and now of Lucasfilm,
Disney may have finally found the grail. You don't need
imagination or art. All you need is a brand."
- Neil Gabler
I was at Disneyland on Opening Day, and my mother tells a story from those days. We were getting aboard the train, but my mother refused, saying it was too hot, no shade, and Walt Disney heard her. The next time we came to Disneyland, the train seating area had shade.
I can't wait for part III. Perhaps Disney, ever desiring to be polically correct, will buy back the combine, paint it green and call it a hybrid!
it's a sale of candy and a sale of plush, it's a sale of toys and disney stuff
there's so much that we sell, that it's time we tell, it's a plush plush sale!
Very interesting in parts I and II. I now understand why he put that Railroad train in his parks.
Steve
I lookforward seeing what eles you have store for us....
Amazing how now now Disneyland Rail Road is part of the
u.s. railroad History also I miss the Old, Santa Fe part of the Disneyland
Back in 1966 I was on the Old Santa Fe Train coming from back east,
they gave me my brother free ticket to go to Disneyland and also ticket to go
on the Santa Fe and Disneyland rail road that was so cool you can see same tickets today on the wall in the Main St. station!
Thanks everyone.
Look for Part 3 to run this coming Tuesday, Sept. 8th.
Eaglman, those tickets you got on the Santa Fe are quite valuable as collectibles today!
Nice work--thank you for sharing-
Thanks so much for this. I appreciate the effort. It really helps a lot.

Is Knott's getting rid of their old locomotive then? It's kind of funny what a convoluted, coast-to-coast deal that poor little engine went through just to end up moving a few miles down the road. At least it's found a good home... Knott's may be a shell of what it once was, but it's still one of the more authentic theme park representations of the Wild West. It's sad what happened to the combine car though!
