    Re: 6/15: Glow Beats Color

I think it LOOKS tacky, but it's what DCA needs at night. Lots of colored lights and for the drinks and restaurants to be open.

I agree the lights, colors, and drinks (within reason) are needed to "spice" DCA up...
But pick a different area... class the act and decor up a bit...
...and definitely don't turn it into a TACKY all-out teenage rave party!

Disneyland has always been and is supposed to be about families. Not drunken young adults.

There are plenty of street carnivals, cheaper/lower-class amusement parks, and even neighborhood dance clubs that can suit that purpose...

Bring on the lights and colors, but keep the "party" atmosphere in a classy, themed way... focused on good, clean family fun.
And please don't ruin one themed area with cheap, non-Disney-like decorations - Urrrgghh!!

Just my opinion of course... obviously not the profit-making one it seems... sigh...

Well, considering how well Glowfest is doing this year, maybe they can improve on the decor in the following years. We all know it was slapped together pretty much last-minute, so they're going to have plenty of time to prepare for next summer. Also, as more things open up (Little Mermaid, Carsland), more people will go there; not to mention how Glowfest could get jostled around as Hollywoodland and the new entrance get redone. And maybe I'm completely wrong (being the frugalista that I tend to be), but I think with drinks being $10+, drunkeness won't be too much of a problem.

We saw WoC Tuesday at 11:15. All in all I thought WoC was pretty good. The video was not as good as I had hoped. I watched it again last night from the Observation deck attached to the VGC and though you can't see the projections, the view was much better. You could see the entire show from above which was pretty cool.
