Whoopi as the permanent headliner
So how big is this new Finding Nemo ride supposed to be? This is really exciting, honestly I thought it would have been cute but since they are combining those two areas? Thats really cool, I would have hoped for a Nautilus ride but hey Finding Nemo would be nice too!
You know, I just have to say, I think Al's April Fool stories are some of the best in the business. I can't remember what last year's was about, but I definitely passed it around to a lot of people. I think they're just really clever.
Highlight of this year's (for me anyway)? Whoopi's gratuitous use of the word "***".

Last year's AF manifesto was the "Walt-Mart" concept, where Eisner merged Disney and Wal-Mart to sell bargain-basement items at bargain-basement prices. That was a hilarious story, and one that seemed entirely plausible given Eisner's mindset at the time. In fact, the story was so good that quite a few people actually believed it!!
Trivia: On April Fool's Day 2004, Disneyland guests found -- at the insistence of the board of directors -- the gigantic dragon featured in Fantasmic replaced with a gigantic Roy Disney (leading to a reprimand to the cast member playing Mickey Mouse when he hugged the giant instead of fighting it)
Oddly enough, I was in Vegas last night and rode the new monorail. I was thinking about how the two places are creatively meeting each other somewhere in the middle. Steve Wynn is their Walt Disney and the Stratosphere is their DCA. Al is not far off. The big difference was the spiel on the vegas monorail ends with "Please remain seated till your credit cards come to a complete stop"
"As usual he's taken over the coolest spot in the house"- Father re: Orville 1963
Great hoax, Al. I have to admit that I believed it for the first sentence or two. What can I say? I just woke up and I've had no food or coffee yet!
I wonder how long those walls are going to be up around the motorboat cruise/submarines area. I would think that making the park look its best (i.e. sans construction walls) would be a top priority this close to the celebrations, and that putting together a revamped ride (as appreciated and welcome as that would be to guests) would be held off until the 50th anniversary is over.
