Great Article!!! The premiere was very nicely summed up. I love those official PoTC press pictures. Thanks to everyone for posting pics, info, etc. and helping people (like me) who are stuck 800 miles away keep up with all the excitement in Disneyland!!!!
What a long wait, but it was so worth it! We were in front of Emporium, and thank goodness we weren't farther into the park...I can't imagine not getting Johnny Depp's picture and autograph after waiting so many hours.
I got to go on Pirates today too as soon as the soft opening started; I feel so lucky!
I'm glad Martin Landau was there. I'm sure he and Depp are good friends, after he won that Oscar for acting opposite him in "Ed Wood". And the picture of Landau next to the one of Jon Voight makes perfect sence since they both appeared in "Mission Impossible". Yes they did! (Landau in the original series, and Voight in the movie).
I have to agree Aladdin, it really does look great. Thanks for the recap of the event last night. Interesting to see the different areas setup for the show. The AA's are amazing. They did a great job from the photos posted.

The premier was particularly nice for me and my family. Although I don't have any hard numbers, I suspect many people stayed home because of the early closure.
We have premium passes for me, my wife and daughter. I drove up from San Diego the night before and stayed at the Ramada Main Gate. We got in line at 6:25 a.m. and were in the park by 6:37 a.m.
We exited the park at about 3:30. We hit the Matterhorn 4 times, Space Mountain 5 times, Big Thunder twice a number of others. We went on rides at least 17 times and had a great day. They should host premieres more often!
