    8/3: A Quiet Corner

Ian takes you on a photo tour of the 1994 Disneyland Paris Fantasyland expansion. Discuss it here!

    Great pics, Ian!

Looks like the Cave of Wonders head needed to be steam cleaned back then...

Love photos of the parks. Feels like you're right there.

I think it's interesting that there are actually characters in the Storybookland tableaus. I guess in California the characters are all in their tiny houses having dinner or watching TV...

Thanks for the beautiful photo tour Ian!

I bet they had a lot of people asking where all the characters were...

Thanks for the pictures, Ian. It's a part of the park I rarely get to see as it's often closed for the Xmas decorations when I visit.

Really cool pics Ian. I like the Storybookland area there, much more detailed.

It seems that this attraction has been closed for several years now. I have not seen it in operation the last four or five years. I think it has everything to do with budget cuts, considering the poor financial situation Eurodisney SCA (the operator of the park) is in. It is however still listed as a functional attraction, so they can reopen it on busy days I guess. I hear since the opening of the Buzz Lightyear attraction attendance has gone up and lately the park seems to be packed, so there may be hope of seeing this Mill turning again.

Glad you all liked the story !

The Old Mill has not been used for a while, in fact at Christmas they fill the buckets with presents to make it look festive at least. It was never a great attraction and had a really low capacity. It does at least look nice.
When I lived in Paris for a year and visited the park nearly ever week I think I saw it working once, but I don't have photos of it in operation.

As to the other two attractions, they two are seasonal and are closed in the quieter winter season. Basically they just fence off the access under the railroad, which is a pity.

It's called "Les Pirouettes du Vieux Moulin" (or in English "The Old Mill Ferris Wheel").
Almost. It means "the turns of the old mill", or "the rotations of the old mill" it loses more than a little something in the translation.
