First off, Al Lutz does NOT work for the Walt Disney Company in any capacity.
As for where his info comes from, well, he has friends in many places throughout the company, including some very highly placed individuals.
The info is gathered from many sources, and then verified by comparing the info and talking to others.
Of course, he can't say something like "The Project Manager told me that the project will be delayed due to problems.", because the Project Manager could get into trouble. So he cannot reveal the names and/or positions where the info comes from, but his track record speaks for itself.
Can Disney do anything to Al because of him reveiling information Disney doesnt want us to know yet?
Don't think so. Since he is not a Disney employee in any way, Al is not covered by any confidentially agreement. He's a journalist, the only thing Disney can really do is claim libel. But in that case Al would have to be slanderously wrong in his columns, such as if Al came out pointed figures for incidences like the BTMR accidents and made unfounded accusations.
