I've got too much to do with my time than to stand in a long line at 7-11 and wait for a free Slurpee. I'd rather spend the $2 or whatever they are nowadays with nobody in front of me, and be out of there in a couple minutes.
I love Slurpees and was kind of excited when I heard about this, and then I remembered I can afford $1.50 to buy a Slurpee. I think it would have cost me that much in gas to go get a free one.
Still, awesome for those who were interested.
I have to say, the Slurpees in the USA are a bit better than the ones we have in Canada. Down there, they're foamy and sort of carbonated. Here, they aren't. I always seek out 7-11 when I'm south of the border.
i went tonight, about 9:30pm, no one inside, when I ask for my slurpee, he said no free ones...only to pay...his excuse was he was out of cups...although I saw people walk out 2 minutes before w/ their slurpee in just a plain old styrfoam cups....no biggie, but false advertising at its best.
