Question Board Games for 2 People?

So, now I have someone to play board games with
But most of our games are for 4 plus people

Are there any good board or card games out there for 2 players?
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Chess and checkers are classic board games. I guess backgammon could be considered a kind of board game, too, sort of.

Is scattergories fun with 2 people? I've only played it with a big group. Different rules? I must admit, it is a great game.

I agree. Even I wouldn't like to see me doing that.

Scattergories is fun with two people, as long as you allow more than one answer per letter.

To live would be an awfully big adventure.

Scene it! Movie and Disney Movie versions. My wife and I love this series.

In high school, a friend and I had a 12 hour Monopoly marathon. The bank went broke so we had to make up more money with pieces of paper with the dollar amounts written on them.

Mancala is a good two person game. Scattergories is a good one, you can play with 2 people but it's best played with more people, also adding alcohol gets even better responses. LOL

    Trivial Pursuit
    Battleship
    Connect Four
    Chess
    Backgammon
    Cribbage
