    Re: Earthquake in orange County!

OMG, that was freaky. I was sitting at my desk, I just felt an aftershock as I type. Ceiling tiles shed a bunch of crap on everything.

    Re: Earthquake!!!

I'm in Vista, north San Diego county. I thought the dogs had knocked something over or someone was breaking into the house when I first felt it. I haven't done a major check of the house but as long as my computer and internet work, I'm good.

    Re: Earthquake at Disneyland

I actually just felt it down here in San Diego, just a bit of shaking. I've been spending the last 2-3 minutes looking for info.

I felt it in the Valley. The epicenter was in the Chino Hills, so there was probably some bad shaking over there.

    Re: Earthquake in orange County!

I just talked to my mom (in Rowland Heights) and she said it was really bad. Poor thing, she's crying and I'm 70 miles away . She just had knee replacement surgery 3 weeks ago and probably feels like she can't get away quick if needed. Of course, my dad is useless. Then he keeps asking her, "did you feel the aftershock?" He's a real POS!

It was centered in Chino. Very Close to where I am.

I just felt it too. I was sitting on the ground with my kids and all of a sudden the floor started shaking but it wasn't that bad. Nothing fell or tipped over so we're okay.

Magnitude 5.8 according to CNN and the USGS.

    In case anyone was wondering.

EDIT: Aladdin beat me to it.

    Re: Earthquake at Disneyland

It's a 5.6 centered in Chino Hills. Which is (as the crow flies) maybe 10 - 20 miles from DL.

I'm in Irvine about 15 miles south at work and our building shook violently, then it slowed down and started shaking violently again. It felt like the building was jumping up and down.

Although I must say Northridge felt worse.

    Re: Earthquake at Disneyland

As a precaution, traditionally all attractions are temporarily shut down so they can be checked for damage and ensure they are safe. This wasn't a huge earthquake so I would expect everything to be up and going by early afternoon, if that.

I am two miles from Disney, it knocked stuff out of the medicine cabinet. Yes they stop and exit people and then inspect the ride, probably the whole park.
