My dad by far. Just about every aspect of our personality and general looks. The same for my mom and my bro.
Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
I look like a combination, but, I am SO like my dad. My mom died when I was 9, so, he raised me alone. I am very stubborn like him, and, a cleaning freak too. (He was in the Army 20+ years, so, clean, clean, clean!) Other things too like he loved gardening and I do too.
My dad; he had a very quiet nature about him. I'm completely like that. He passed away when I was 17 and that was 24 years ago. I think I look like him too. My mom used to tell me, "you act just like your dad" when I would get quiet and moody.
I also think I picked up a lot of my mom's mannerisms and speech patterns. Which I guess makes sense since I was around her longer than my dad. She also passed away a little over 2 years ago.
I am more like my Mom but look more like my Dad. My Dad is very dark complected and my Mom is extremely fair with red hair.......which means I tan really well! Mom is extremely personable.....and friendly.....which is where I tend to get my outgoing-ness (that a word?). However, Dad is the same way - not to Mom's extreme - but still. In Katella High School in Anaheim - where my parents went to High School - my parents were HUGE into Drama (1969-71). Apparently the 'cool kids' were in Drama - and Jack Schlatter (brother to George Schlatter of "Laugh In'" fame) was their Drama Instructor. Anyway, both parents were "Thespians". Does that mean anything now? I don't know. Maybe I have 'Double Thespian Mentality"? HAHAH My brother, sister and I always tend to be a 'bit dramatic' - HAHAH
My Mom is of English/German descent.
Dad is of Hispanic descent - with deeper deeper Mayan and even deeper Jewish roots.
So it seems that I'm just a 'little bit 'o everything' .
