I live in the land of 10,000 lakes and infamous winters and I've only done each of those once...the snow skiing was cross country and I only managed to get up once water skiing. I'm too lazy to try it again.

I've never been to Vermont in the fall .

I just checked online to see how far it would be from where we're going to be in New York. The computer said 4.5 hours by car and 3 days 11 hours by foot!

How on earth does the computer know how fast (or slow) I walk?

Edmonton. This is a sticky one in my house! When I was in driver's ed, the West Edmonton Mall was opening. We had to plan a trip that was within a certain number of miles = gas mileage, cost of gas, stops (couldn't drive more than 10 hours a day I think?) and come up with the cost. My teacher couldn't figure out why mine was so high

- well, duh! I stayed at the hotel in the mall! Anyway, hubby has been there (to Edmonton) and even got to stay in that hotel (not the fun suites though - just a business room). So he likes to remind me that he's been there even though I'm the one who always wanted to go!
