Halloween Yard Haunt 2008-First Day of Setup!

I figured today, it's September...time for Halloween! Heh

So, the initial stages of backyard setup took place, the lighting and a few props...I figure I will work on it piecemeal as weekends pass, leaving the last minute stuff like the pumpkin carving and the cemetery set up for the week of Halloween..until then, stuff will be slowly filtering out there, ghouls, goblins, and assorted beasties.

Photos from tonight, showing today's work....Enjoy, boils and ghouls!

Bonus...can you spot the Disneyland/Yesterland reference?

Very nice!

COuldn't find the Yesterland referance but I did enjoy the sign of the White Pass & Yukon Route. I've been to Skagway twice and loved the train ride that took you up there. Good Job!!

Would the reference be to "Rainbow Ridge" from the Mine Trains?

Nice work so far, can't wait to see the finished product.

A pleasure, and honestly, Halloween stuff is up inside pretty much year round around here lol....I'm always in the mood for spooky stuff myself, so I take the backyard setup seriously...glad you enjoy it!

The other sign posts are all actually defunct Western themed amusements too....Frontier Village, in San Jose, Pollardville, on the way to Sacramento, and Ponderosa Ranch, formerly near Lake Tahoe. Thanks, glad you like it!

Thanks! It is shaping up pretty good so far, yes...now it's just a matter of getting all the stuff out there, gradually and doing the final touches week of Halloween for parties and such.

That looks very nice. Makes me want to get out my Halloween stuff but I have to wait until I get to my new place at the end of the month.
