Halloween costumes (what are the kids gonna be?)

Ok, I'm not wearing one, but my son (8yo) is going to be a werewolf.

Yep, we bought some stuff at the thift store yesterday, spirit gum, a wig (to cut up) the fake teeth. Im get to play FX makeup artist. Wish me luck.

All totaled under 20 bucks. No too bad huh?

Let's see, we are going the 3rd week in Oct to Disney and doing the trick or treating thing soooo...we have a buzz, capn jack, capn hook, mulan, white witch (thats me ; then we also have a malificent, barbossa, jack skellington, alice and a pumpkin (baby tate will be 6 weeks) then we have a witch, cowboy, lady pirate, and elizabeth from pirates movies..

I think that covers it--and yes, it is a family reunion!

Ooow, Jack Skellington. He wanted to be Jack, we discussed it, but then we opened up the ideas, and wolfman (wolfboy?) sounded good to him.

My daughter is going to be Repulzel, I am almost done with her dress. The boy is going to be woody, I haven't started on his costume yet.

Unfortunately since I made the boys Lord Farquaad costume last year apparantly they want me to make them from now on...which in most cases is not really cheaper.

I'm gonna be Indiana Jones. Yeah I'm a girl so I may get a few weird looks. I'm wearing brown shorts, a white button up like his, the hat, and I found a whip at Target that makes the noise and the theme song. I've not yet heard of any girl who dressed as Indy so I'm kinda looking forward to the reactions.

This year for some reason (probably because I'm out of my mind) I decided to make my costume. I'm building a 20,000 leagues under the sea diving suit. I made a balsa wood form covered it in wood panels and then covered that in self hardening clay. Got plexi glass for the dive windows. covered it with copper furniture tacks as rivets and random copper pipe fittings and hoses. Copper and bronze paint as well as some aging and spot colors complete the helmut. A jump suit and leather cuffs as well as belts and a giant shell breathing unit (again balsa wood, foam and self hardening clay) complete the outfit. All that is left is to decide if I should make a trident or one of the underwater electric gun? Any thoughts?

Sounds like a fun costume. I'd make a trident. You don't wanna be caught walking around with anything that resembles a gun nowadays.

DS just discovered the awesomeness that is Star Wars, so he chose Darth Vader! I just bought his costume yesterday, now I have to buy a RED light saber because "MOM, I can't take my blue light saber...that's not his color!" , lol
